What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driving School Coordinator position at Kane County Bar Association?
New position within the Kane County Bar Association, located in St. Charles, IL.
Driving School Coordinator: 25 hours a week in office (Monday-Friday 10 am to 3 pm) along with additional paid class instructing
MUST Be Bi-Lingual in Spanish (non-bilingual applicants need not apply)

Objective:
To oversee, implement, test and administer the Kane County Bar Association Driving School (SafeRoads Kane County Driver Program) for the 16th Judicial Circuit of Kane County for the citizens of Kane County and other counties who have selected to seek Court Supervision or have been instructed by a judge in a court of law to attend the traffic school.
Responsibilities:
· Organize and maintain the office for the SafeRoads Kane County Driver Program.
· Have ability to instruct and maintain control and interest in classroom for Driving School.
· Find places to hold in-person instructional classes that meet the requirements of the National Safety Council. Work on booking the room, following through on payment for room, and overseeing/scheduling of the class.
· Keep detailed listing of In-person classes, both for English and Spanish, of where facility is, contract for the date, and class registrants for each class.
· Work with Executive Director to grow and expand position within KCBA.
· Keep monthly reports and forward to Chief Judge and Executive Director
· Work with the Kane County Circuit Clerk on keeping records updated and maintained.
· Work with web developers to make sure that website works as we need it to work, and the system thoroughly tested prior to going live.
· Create and maintain an updated manual for all tasks and computer “how to’s” to administer Driving School
· Interact over the phone, in-person, and/or email with members of the public that require attention to have questions answered or registration for classes.
· Keep the KCBA Driving School Website updated with class information, registration process, etc.
· Maintain a friendly and helpful service via email, phone, or in person.
· Instruct approximately 25 in-person classes per year – mainly in Spanish
· Must be able to schedule instructors for in-person classes and prepare instructors for their classes.
· Maintain KCBA Driving School webpage on a daily basis
· Hire instructors for classes, schedule instructors, and forward class listing to instructors, and follow up after each class with the instructors.
· Maintain inventory of student books, certificates, and online codes.
Requirements:
· Possess knowledge of MicroSoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Must be bilingual in Spanish and English, reading and writing.
· Should be an organized, self-starter with ability to multi-task.
· Must possess customer service skills
· Must be timely to open and close office and in-person classes
· Be available to travel to classes via own transportation
· Be able to communicate effectively in Spanish and English over the phone, in person, and with writing.
· Must be able to maintain classroom control when teaching while providing the students with correct and necessary information.
· Must be a team player, and work with KCBA staff and SafeRoads staff to further the mission of the KCBA and the SafeRoads Kane County Driver Program.
· Need to be able to handle money in cash, check or credit card.
