Responsibilities
- Lead educational programs, guided hikes, and nature walks tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Share knowledge about local flora, fauna, ecosystems, and conservation efforts through lively presentations and storytelling.
- Engage visitors in hands-on activities such as bird watching, plant identification, or environmental crafts to deepen their understanding of nature.
- Foster an inclusive environment by communicating effectively with multilingual and bilingual audiences.
- Assist with visitor inquiries, provide excellent customer service, and ensure safety during all outdoor activities.
- Manage time efficiently to coordinate multiple programs throughout the day while maintaining enthusiasm and energy.
- Support community outreach efforts by promoting upcoming events and encouraging participation in conservation initiatives.
- Reports to the Seasonal/Lead Naturalist.
Qualifications
- Passionate about nature, environmental education, or related fields with a desire to share that passion with others.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak confidently in public settings.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience teaching or guiding groups of diverse ages.
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities during busy days.
