Housekeeping / Laundry / Dietary Aide – Full-Time
Kanawha Community Home – Kanawha, Iowa
Kanawha Community Home is seeking a dependable and caring individual to join our team in a full-time combined Housekeeping, Laundry, and Dietary Aide position. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and being part of a small, team-oriented environment.
Schedule
- Full-time
- 24–40 hours per week
- Every other weekend
- Every other holiday
- Hours may vary based on facility needs
Job Responsibilities
Housekeeping
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, empty trash, and perform general cleaning duties.
- Follow infection prevention and sanitation procedures.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.
Laundry
- Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens.
- Properly handle and separate clean and soiled laundry.
- Keep laundry areas clean and organized.
- Ensure residents' personal clothing is returned to the appropriate resident.
Dietary
- Assist with meal preparation and meal service.
- Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
- Deliver meal trays and collect dishes.
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention practices.
Qualifications
- Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly, compassionate, and respectful when interacting with residents.
- Willing to work in housekeeping, laundry, and dietary based on the facility's schedule and needs.
- Able to follow instructions, policies, and safety procedures.
- Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
- Previous healthcare, housekeeping, laundry, or dietary experience is helpful but not required—we are willing to train the right person.
