Operations Cutover Lead - Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA-Onsite

About the Role

SLM Program Operations CPO team (Cutover Planning and Orchestration) is seeking a results-

driven, hand-on Senior Project Manager to lead one of the cutover tracks for Apple’s largest

system cutover ever executed. This is a single point of accountability role — not a coordination

function. You own the outcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, own and execute the master cutover plan — playbooks, sequencing, rollback procedures, and go/no-go governance

• Lead dry runs, close gaps, and drive the plan to convergence before production

• Coordinate regional leads across AMR, APAC, EMEA on readiness, data migration, and validation

• Run a tight daily issue log — every item has an owner, due date, and is tracked to closure

• Partner with technical leads on system freeze, ETL activities, and post-load data validation

• Deliver status reports, run live war rooms, and maintain zero-gap communication with xFunctional Cutover Lead

• Manage cutover decision log — every deviation, exception, and approval is documented and auditable

• Align business SMEs and IT leads on pre-cutover readiness criteria and sign-off checkpoints

• Facilitate post-dry-run retrospectives and translate findings into plan improvements immediately

• Maintain risk visibility through structured weekly updates — risks, decisions, trajectory

• Stay engaged through hypercare and hand off cleanly to operational support

• Contribute immediately from Day 1 — no long ramp expected

Required Qualifications

• 10 years managing large-scale ERP / SAP cutovers with direct bottom-line ownership

• Deep SAP expertise — S/4HANA, ECC, or related modules through UAT-to-production

• Understanding of Jira project management tool is a plus

• Proven multi-region go-live coordination across distributed teams and time zones

• Clear, confident communicator — written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Apple experience in SAP or SLM-related programs (Strongly Preferred)

• Familiarity with Apple's internal program governance, tools

• Multi-region simultaneous go-live experience with parallel cutover strategies

• Self-directed contractor with a track record of fast integration and independent delivery
