Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on individual with maintenance and basic construction experience to assist with part-time property management across small multi-unit properties. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys flexible hours, independent work, and steady supplemental income. Tasks can be completed on your own schedule, and workload varies by season.
Responsibilities
- Perform periodic property check-ins to ensure units are secure
- Complete light maintenance and repair work (carpentry, drywall patching, simple plumbing fixes, light electrical, painting, etc.)
- Coordinate with outside contractors when needed
- Document property conditions with photos or videos
- Show vacant units to prospective tenants
- Assist with make-ready work during turnovers
- Inspect and report on vacant properties to help prevent theft or damage
- Communicate regularly with ownership regarding property needs
Required Experience
Candidates must have:
- General maintenance experience
- Basic construction or handyman skills (carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, light electrical, etc.)
Preferred backgrounds include:
- Apartment or property maintenance
- Remodeling or construction labor
- Handyman work
- Property preservation
Requirements
- Must live locally or within reasonable driving distance
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Reliable vehicle and smartphone
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Good communication skills
- Physically capable of completing light repair tasks
Schedule & Hours
- Flexible schedule
- Estimated 5–20 hours per week depending on property needs
- No daily reporting required
Compensation
- $15–$20 per hour depending on experience
- Additional pay available for maintenance tasks
- Optional discounted rent available at select properties
