The Restaurant Equipment Delivery Person is responsible for ensuring the timely and safe transportation, delivery, and unloading of restaurant equipment to designated locations. This role involves careful handling of equipment, effective communication with customers, and maintaining accurate delivery records. A successful candidate must prioritize customer satisfaction and safety while adhering to company policies and transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Delivery:
    • Safely load, transport, and unload restaurant equipment, including stoves, refrigerators, ovens, and other commercial kitchen appliances, to specified locations.
    • Ensure all items are securely loaded and properly protected during transit to prevent damage.
  2. Customer Interaction:
    • Communicate professionally with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns.
    • Provide basic instructions or guidance on equipment placement if required.
  3. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery receipts, equipment checklists, and customer signatures.
    • Report any delivery issues, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.
  4. Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.
    • Operate equipment such as dollies or forklifts safely when loading and unloading.
  5. Vehicle Maintenance:
    • Inspect the delivery vehicle daily to ensure it is in good working condition.
    • Schedule regular maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the fleet manager.
  6. Problem Solving:
    • Respond to unexpected delivery challenges, such as road closures or customer location difficulties, with creative and efficient solutions.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience driving large vehicles, such as box trucks or vans, is preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 75-100 lbs).
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant equipment and its handling is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may involve long hours, including early mornings, evenings.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions during deliveries.
  • Physical demands, including heavy lifting and extended periods of driving.

Salary : $20 - $25
