Position Overview:
Kamps Pallets is seeking a reliable and hardworking Hand Sorter to join our team. In this role, you will inspect and sort pallets based on quality and condition. This position works in a warehouse/yard environment with exposure to weather, noise, and moving equipment, and requires the ability to keep pace in a fast-moving setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort pallets and lumber by size, condition, and grade
- Disassemble large skids, pallets and shipping platforms to ensure lumber can be recovered and reused.
- Inspect pallets for damage and determine repair or discard status
- Stack and organize pallets in designated areas
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Work efficiently to meet daily production goals
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Previous warehouse or pallet experience is a plus, but not required
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
