What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A CDL Mulch Delivery Driver position at Kamps Pallets?

Job Overview:
This position would be responsible for delivering mulch to customers across the region in a multi-axle truck. Average hours per week would be 50-55 hours from 5am until 4pm, though flexibility is required for delivery scheduling.
Essential Functions:
- Principal duty: delivery of mulch using multi-axle truck to regional customers
- Operate wheel loader vehicle to load trucks and support grinding operation
- Operate/maintain mechanized mulch moving equipment and product specialized coloring machinery
- Perform general manual labor task associated with mulch production
- Review and complete all reporting paperwork as required
- Report all mechanical and/or safety issues to manager and/or maintenance
- Perform preventative vehicle maintenance and safety checks
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly at all times
- Operate within Kamps Logistics, Inc. safety standards, ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements & Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of Class A CDL experience
- Clean driving record
- Experience pulling multi-axle trailers
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and personal initiative
- Self-motivated and able to handle challenging driving conditions
- Ability to problem solve and develop logical solutions to operational obstacles
- Heavy equipment/safety certifications are preferred
- Ability to travel overnight on occasion
- Must be able to work days and hours required to meet customer demands
