Location: Vinita, Oklahoma
KAMO Power is seeking a Technical Systems Analyst II. This exempt position is responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating fiber optic and telecommunications network installations and projects. This position plays a key part in maintaining and expanding KAMO Power's telecommunications infrastructure and supporting reliable network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and coordinate fiber optic, Ethernet, MPLS, microwave, LMR, SONET, and other telecommunications network projects.
- Design and coordinate installation of network equipment, circuits, communication systems, and electrical cabling layouts.
- Develop project plans, cost estimates, work orders, material requirements, and technical documentation for telecommunications projects.
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and field personnel to troubleshoot complex network issues, test equipment interoperability, and ensure proper installation practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field is required, such as Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or Management Information Systems, with a minor in Telecommunications preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with telecommunications transmission systems, including Ethernet, MPLS, SONET, Add/Drop Multiplexing, Network Timing, DC Power Supplies, Digital Transport Technologies, Fiber Optic Systems, and software-controlled Network Management Systems.
- General knowledge of:
- – Telecommunications equipment and fiber optic transport systems– Microwave, wireless radio, two-way radio, SCADA, and power line carrier systems– Telecommunications standards, switching, multiplexing, synchronization, Ethernet, VLAN switching, quality of service, and IP– Fiber optic and light-wave principles, AC/DC electrical principles, grounding, and basic POP/CO installation practices
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and telecommunications/network design applications.All levels of experience welcome. Job level and pay grade will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
