Summary
The Business Process Engineer will build functional expertise and play a key role in designing and evaluating business processes that enable system improvements and operational efficiency. This position is engaged throughout the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring business objectives are accurately captured and translated into actionable requirements, workflows, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze business processes to support new technologies and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional requirements, process objectives, and use cases.
- Conduct user and task analysis to ensure business needs align with system capabilities.
- Develop functional requirements, process documentation, and design specifications.
- Provide functional guidance to developers, system operators, and cross-functional teams during delivery cycles.
- Perform functional analysis and testing, including SQL-based data validation, to assist with issue resolution and data cleanup.
- Participate in requirements gathering, process design workshops, and testing activities under senior analyst direction.
- Attend stakeholder and client meetings to capture and refine requirements for system improvements.
- Work closely with system analysts, developers, and operations teams to ensure shared understanding of new processes and functional expectations.
- Create process documentation, workflow diagrams, and procedural guides.
- Support future system integrations, including functional validation and cross-team coordination.
Requirements
- Ability to pass thorough background investigation
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (four additional years in lieu of degree)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with the Software Delivery Lifecycle and/or experience supporting system operations
- Proficiency in functional requirements analysis, SQL queries, and business process design
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
