Host/Hostess Job Description
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the establishment
- Provide menus and assist guests with any questions regarding menu items
- taking orders over the phones, online and walk-in
- Seating dine in guests
- Collaborate with other staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth dining experience for guests
- Process guest payments using the POS system
- Provide excellent customer service and create a positive dining atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle high call volumes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
