Assembler, Manufacturing

Assembles mechanical assemblies for automotive driveline components. Final assembly to include all components to be painted and assembled. Multiple types of assemblies and packaging. Assembly is available 1st or 2nd shift. Seeking to hire 1st shift at this time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setup work cell with parts to be assembled
• Track part usage and consumables to include grease usage to ensure replacement materials are ordered
• Setup assembly fixtures to accommodate part number changeovers
• Ensure packaging and labeling are correct
• Work with computer system to log parts completed
• Responsible for cleaning and performing general maintenance on equipment
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized work area
• Responsible for stopping production if a part or process problem is identified and notifying leader or quality personnel
• Initiate nonconforming product procedures when necessary
• Responsible for identification and elimination of any unnecessary waste
• Participate in corrective and preventative activities as required
• Participate in and support the KMD Quality System and Environmental, Health and Safety policies
• Responsible to participate in continuous improvement and associated training
• Responsible to adhere to the company Quality Policy, and to understand and follow all applicable Quality Work Instructions and Procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
