Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to help oversee daily operations within a fast-paced service environment. This role involves supporting the General Manager in managing staff, brand standards, housekeeping, bar operations and maintaining operational efficiency across various departments. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow across all departments.
- Supervise staff training, development, and performance evaluations to promote a high standard of service.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and safety protocols in accordance with industry standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Handle cash management duties such as POS transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Support shift management by coordinating schedules and resolving operational issues promptly.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to meet business objectives.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members to build a competent workforce.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop marketing strategies and promotional activities.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Support catering, banquet events, or bar operations as needed within the hospitality setting.
Skills
- Proven management experience within the industry, including supervising teams in quick service environments.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training & development and team management.
- Ability to manage inventory control effectively while maintaining quality standards.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Experience in management including shift management, budgeting.
- Familiarity with culinary operations such as catering, banquet service, or bar management is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills along with interviewing and training capabilities.
