Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately while providing friendly service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee shop, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Engage with customers to take orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; assist in restocking as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating a cash register is essential.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
