Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history. Kalshi is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.

Role Roadmap

Kalshi Trading is an affiliated trading entity that operates across all different categories on Kalshi. We are looking for traders who are either exceptional in their particular niche, or good generalists able to quickly learn how to trade completely new topics as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with at least a few of the following items:

• Engineering:
  • building and deploying autonomous systems, especially trading systems
  • low latency programming for trading applications
  • setting up automated data pipelines and ingesting datasets from a variety of fields
  • infrastructure management (AWS stack, SQL databases)
  • accurate bookkeeping or other financial operations experience
• Modeling:
  
  • building and deploying statistical forecasting models
  • machine learning, neural networks, or generative AI including LLMs
  • data collection via APIs or web scraping
  • domain expertise in one or more of the categories on Kalshi, such as:
    • sports
    • crypto
    • financials
    • economics
    • weather
• Trading:
  
  • Proven track record trading on Kalshi or other prediction markets:
    • consistently positive P&L
    • substantial volume traded on an ongoing basis
    • experience making large trades and holding large positions
    • familiarity with the Kalshi API or other trading APIs
    • experience with automated liquidity provision and position management
  • sports betting on traditional bookmakers
  • trading other financial instruments, such as derivatives or cryptocurrencies
  • poker, chess, e-sports, or other competitive games played at a high level

The rest of what the role looks like is up to you - a big part of our approach is that you get to chart your path as we grow and evolve. You will have a lot of influence in shaping what both your role and the activity of Kalshi Trading look like as we grow. There's a lot of green field to conquer, we trust that you'll make a lot of it your own.

NYC Pay Transparency Disclosure:

Salary Range: $150,000 to $250,000 annually plus equity and benefits.

This salary range is based on the current available market data and represents the expected salary range for this role. Kalshi has minimal hierarchy and few titles, but a broad range of experience is represented within roles.
