POSITION/TITLE: CNC LEAD TECHNICIAN
POSITION SUMMARY:
Job Description:
Lead technician will perform the following job duties in addition to base CNC machine operator job description:
Ø Review technical drawings and identify tooling and work holding requirements
Ø Collaborate with Plant Engineer and Mfg Engineering Manager to develop CNC processes
Ø Program, set-up, Operate CNC machine tools.
Ø Collaborate with Plant Manager on scheduling customer orders on CNC machines.
Ø Train and provide technical support to CNC operators.
Ø Collaborate with QC Department on production gauging requirements for all jobs.
Ø Assist with CNC process development on prototypes and new production jobs.
Ø Optimize tool life and minimize scrap on existing products.
Ø Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of tools, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Ø Embrace department organization for tooling, materials, gauges, and operator workspaces.
Ø Help identify root cause for defective product produced within department.
Ø Demonstrate departmental leadership via attendance, quality, and general self-conduct.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Competent in word address programming, machine set up, tooling and work holding quailification
May be full, part-time or temporary position. Overtime, night and weekends may be required.
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
