Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all shifts.
- Manage ordering and inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Provide excellent customer service, resolving guest concerns and fostering a positive dining atmosphere.
- Handle fulfillment of ready-made and takeout orders: finish preparation as needed, label items accurately, distribute orders in the dining room by calling guest names, confirm pickups, and mark orders as completed in the system.
- Supervise the espresso bar and beverage station, stepping in to assist during busy periods.
- Program, maintain, and expand our Toast Point of Sale (POS) system, including menu updates, pricing adjustments, and integration of new features.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, patio, and common areas, upholding high standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Assist with catering orders, including preparation, fulfillment, packaging, and occasional deliveries.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in restaurant management, supervisory roles, or fast-casual/food service operations (preferably in a university or high-volume setting).
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is strongly preferred; comfort with technology and willingness to learn new features is essential.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a small team.
- Excellent customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Food safety knowledge (ServSafe certification a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation for occasional catering deliveries.
