Duties
- Safely operate vehicles such as taxis, limousines, or paratransit vans along designated local routes and during night shifts.
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to efficiently plan and follow optimal routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure safety and comfort for all passengers.
- Process cash transactions accurately when handling fare payments and issue receipts as needed.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to guarantee passenger safety at all times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in taxi driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or commercial driving roles with a strong focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in GPS navigation tools and familiarity with local driving routes.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and the ability to perform basic upkeep tasks.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial license if required).
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to traffic regulations and safety standards consistently.
- Experience with night driving shifts preferred for flexibility in scheduling.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude towards passengers.
- Prior experience processing cash transactions and managing fare collections is advantageous.
