In addition, the position provides logistical planning and problem solving for each event. Kaleo Marketing works in approximately 1500 events a year, with each event having many details to manage. The position requires an extremely organized, fast-thinking, detail-oriented, self-starter who can solve problems and work autonomously, ensuring that sufficient events are planned and all parts stay on track. The position reports to the Director of Events and Business Development.
This is a full-time in-office hourly position with benefits. Pay starts at $16/hour and is negotiable.

Responsibilities And Duties
The Events Coordinator and Assistant aides the Director of Events and Business Development in planning, negotiating, managing payments, managing communications, and coordinating logistics for every event, including but not limited to:
- Full-time in-office schedule: Monday-Friday 10A-6P
- The position does not usually attend events
- Booking of multiple events in multiple markets each week
- Coordination of weekly event set ups in multiple markets
- Managing all logistics and planning for over 1000 events each year
- Planning and interactions with event setup team
- Trouble-shooting of event problems
- Timely communication and negotiation with vendors
- Negotiation of event booth prices
- Negotiation of high-traffic booth locations
- Updating of all event records
- Continuous coordination with marketing managers regarding staffing needs
- Providing event detail to all interested parties
- Researching and seeking out additional events
- Managing and maintaining equipment and collateral inventory
- Planning and ordering equipment and collateral
- Excellent typing skills: Min 50 WPM
- Highly proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and other office software applications such as Outlook and Google Calendar
- Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent
- Driven, self-starter
- Detail-oriented and extremely organized, staying on top of all event planning needs
- Confidence, strong voice, and professional presence
- Ability to negotiate
- Strong ability to keep others informed and on track
- Prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, creative environment
- Able to quickly adapt and change directions when needed
- Good use of calendaring tools and reminders
- Professional and effective verbal and written communication
- Able to work with a team; open to different perspectives and ideas
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to event locations when needed
- Positive, professional attitude and reliability a must
