Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and according to standard procedure, prepares and dispenses medications after review of a physician’s order. Participates in designated patient medication monitoring activities as defined by department procedure. The Pharmacist will provide supervision of Pharmacy technicians and their roles and responsibilities. Education And Credentials
Pharm.D or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a pharmacist. Must be eligible for licensure in the state of New York. Pharmacist not licensed in the state of New York will be allowed ninety (90) days to obtain a New York State license from start date. Valid driver's license.
Experience
Prior hospital experience preferred. The ability to work independently; the ability to learn new routines; the ability to supervise technicians as necessary; good verbal communication. Able to perform the duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist at any facility over which the SDOP has purview.
