Provides routine nursing care to patients in a hospital setting and performs other duties, as assigned. Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Work is performed in accordance with the policies and regulations of local, state, and federal authorities, as well as accepted standards of practice. Education And CredentialsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Current status as RN student in an accredited nursing program. Completion of one clinical nursing rotation. A graduate nurse may be placed into this position temporarily after NCLEX failure providing satisfactory employee status until successful NCLEX results. Graduate nurse who has been employed in good standing but unsuccessful in NYS Board exam. May be temporarily placed in this position until successful completion of exam.
