Job Description
Provides professional and appropriate Occupational Therapy Services to assist patients of all age groups in regaining or retaining their highest functional level considering their physical, psychosocial and perceptual abilities; responsible for maintaining quality standards of patient care by directing and supervising ancillary OT staff; complies with NYS Department of Education and NYS Health Department requirements by maintaining licensure and standards of practice.
Education And Credentials
Bachelor’s and/or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an approved program. Current and valid New York State Occupational Therapy License. Early Intervention providers only require Staff Exclusion List (SEL) check and State Central Registry (SCR) check.
Experience
Good communication skills to convey information effectively orally and written. Organizational skills (ie; time management ) to provide efficient and effective treatment programs to various patient populations. Ability to monitor and assess self performance to make improvements or take corrective action. Ability to use critical decision making to identify strengths and weaknesses, determine alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
