Job Description
Practice of registered professional nursing by a nurse practitioner may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician qualified to collaborate in the specialty involved, provided such services are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols.
Education And Credentials
Completion of masters, post-masters’ or doctorate NP program accredited by CCNE or ACEN required. Current active RN and NP license in NYS required. National NP certification required for *Internal hire: Required upon transfer into new position *External hire: Required at the time of application. Current BLS, ACLS required. DEA or DEA eligible required. Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement required. Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Training, NY State CHAMP course completion within (1) year, Midwest Regional CAC basic and advanced medical training academy completion within (1) year, completion of Forensic Course within (1) year upon hire or transfer. Completed PNP Graduate Program preferred.
Experience
One (1) year of OB/GYN experience required. Two (2) years of clinical experience preferred.
