Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) transactions
- Lead and supervise staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a motivated team
- Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock organization
- Execute purchasing decisions and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability and optimal stock levels
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone etiquette and in-person interactions, ensuring high satisfaction levels
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviewing potential candidates, and participating in recruiting efforts
- Monitor sales performance and implement sales management techniques to meet or exceed targets
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, payroll processing, and budget tracking to support financial health of the store
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote products and increase store traffic through merchandising and promotional activities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, manage shift schedules effectively, and supervise cashiering duties
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail math including pricing, sales calculations, and inventory valuation
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering operations
- Knowledge of recruiting processes including interviewing techniques and employee onboarding
- Familiarity with payroll processing, bookkeeping practices, and budgeting fundamentals
