Position Summary

Floor Leaders are responsible for ensuring the highest quality customer service, accepting and processing returns, obtaining, receiving, weighing and organizing merchandise, totaling bills, accepting payment, making change for customers, leading store opening and closing procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work space, enhancing product knowledge, supporting budtenders and complying with OLCC rules and regulations at all times.

Floor Leaders must lead by example by displaying integrity and honesty in all aspects of service. Floor Leaders will perform basic training and coaching to budtenders and receptionists. Floor Leaders are responsible for communicating information from management, organizing break and meal times for employees, moving products in bio-track, opening and closing registers and the store. Floor Leaders do not have discretion to hire, fire or discipline personnel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify validity of identification of guests as per OLCC guidelines.
  • Ensure each guest receives outstanding customer service by fostering a friendly, welcoming atmosphere; this includes greeting and acknowledging every guest promptly and enthusiastically, answering questions and/or concerns, making guests feel appreciated through your actions and having solid product knowledge.
  • Ensure all areas are cleaned, stocked and compliant to ensure an effective, efficient and safe workflow.
  • Input customers’ orders, collect money from guests and make change; totaling price and tax on merchandise; accepting payment and making change; as well as packaging products in the appropriate exit container as per OLCC regulations.
  • Lead team members in store opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensuring that the store and safes are locked and secure at closing time
  • Administer team members meal and rest periods.
  • Arrange products to maintain an attractive display.
  • Close registers and deposit cash drops
  • Learn guests’ names and favorite products.
  • Labeling products, moving inventory in biotrack.
  • Adhere to all OLCC marijuana rules and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit
  • High level working computer knowledge
  • Moderate to advanced cannabis/product knowledge
  • Ability to speak politely and effectively with a diverse clientele and employees
  • Ability to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions
  • Ability to interpret and apply state cannabis rules according to the governing body.

The Floor Leader position requires the ability to process information and merchandise through computer and POS register systems; the ability to effectively communicate with associates and guests; the ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation; the ability to freely access all areas of the store including the sales floor, stock area, and register area; the ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
