Role Description The Senior Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Las Vegas, NV, responsible for leading construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within scope. The Senior Project Manager coordinates with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, facilitating clear communication and timely issue resolution. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing contracts and drawings, managing RFIs and submittals, leading project meetings, tracking progress, and ensuring quality and code compliance. The role also mentors project teams, supports field operations, monitors risk, and drives continuous improvement in project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong project leadership and coordination skills, including Project Management experience overseeing commercial construction projects of varying size and complexity.
- Experience in Expediting and working as an Expeditor to ensure timely procurement, submittals, approvals, and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Background in Inspection and quality control, with the ability to interpret plans, specifications, and building codes and ensure compliance in the field.
- Logistics Management skills, including planning site logistics, sequencing work, coordinating trades, and optimizing schedules and deliveries.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore or similar), project scheduling tools, and standard office applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with clients and project partners.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor project teams, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions under time pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Several years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management; experience in Nevada markets is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices; OSHA certification or similar credential is a plus.
