GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to audit, verify compliance, and reconcile child support accounts within court orders and procedures. Works in conjunction with interstate personnel to adjust support accounts that involve multiple states, counties, and jurisdictions. Prepares official audits, affidavits, memos, and accounting documentation for use in interstate and court functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews, analyzes, and reconciles accounts to ensure compliance with applicable court orders and procedures.
- Enters and manages data for interstate court orders to ensure transparency of information between jurisdictions and proper enforcement.
- Audits child support cases for interstate functions, felony referrals, or ad hoc requests.
- Prepares official audits, affidavits, memos, and accounting documentation in support of interstate and court functions.
- Assists relevant parties in resolving account discrepancies and addressing issues with other states or counties; answers questions and concerns.
- Completes mandated training in confidentiality, security, customer service, and child support enforcement.
- Performs related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience in accounting
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
