What are the responsibilities and job description for the HS Mathematics Teacher 2026-2027 position at Kalamazoo Christian School Association?
Kalamazoo Christian High School (KCHS) is looking to hire a committed Christian teacher ready to energetically & effectively provide our high-school students with excellent instruction taught from a Christian worldview. This full-time position is open for the 2026-27 school year. Individual classes include (but may not be limited to) Algebra 1, Code HS, General Math, Personal Finance, & Statistics.
The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong & active Christian faith with a solid knowledge content area & instruction. They will understand & be committed to the mission & vision of Christian education, specifically that of Kalamazoo Christian High School. The ability to connect the Christian faith & worldview to instruction is essential for success in this position.
Fundamental job skills & competencies include collaboration, communication (oral and written), critical thinking, dependability, interpersonal skills, organization, providing motivation & confidence, relationship/team building, stewardship, technology competency, & time management. Specific job skills & competencies include but are not limited to providing engaging classroom instruction with varying instructional strategies & carrying out professional responsibilities in & out of the classroom.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
- Teaching Certification (Secondary)
- Teaching experience preferred.
