Housekeeping Supervisor
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective daily operation relating to the department, as set forth by the Resort’s standards and will administer the supervision of all floor staff. You are also responsible for ensuring rooms are maintained to set standards of cleanliness and are ready in a timely manner for guest accommodation.
As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure guest rooms and public spaces meet high cleanliness standards while supporting and guiding associates to do their best work. By maintaining quality, consistency, and clear communication, you will help create a comfortable stay for guests and a positive, well-organized work environment for the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate staff work performance on an on-going basis, praise and disciplines staff as appropriate.
- Monitor and assist with training of room attendants.
- Monitor and schedule routine inspections of all guest rooms/suites and public areas to ensure everything is clean and in good repair.
- Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, associates and other departments.
- Understand all duties of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Supervisors and assist when needed.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with properties (Hotels and Resorts) with more than 500 rooms.
- One-year progressive housekeeping supervisory/management required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bi-lingual skills are helpful but not required.
