We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all account balances are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and record journal entries, including debits & credits, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate employee compensation.
- Generate detailed financial reports, including profit & loss statements, cash flow reports, and budget variance analyses.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements and tax filings as needed.
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses against forecasts and providing insights for financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain meticulous records for audit purposes.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting practices.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts.
- Experience with double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Expertise in bank reconciliation, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and tax experience related to payroll and vendor payments.
- Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
- Excellent skills in financial report writing, account analysis, and budget management.
