Kitchen Helper / Prep Cook – Kaizr Grill
Kaizr Grill in New Brunswick, NJ is hiring an experienced and dependable Kitchen Helper / Prep Cook to support our chef and kitchen team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the chef with daily food preparation
- Cut vegetables, prepare sauces, marinate meats, and portion ingredients
- Help prepare shawarma, kebabs, biryani, platters, sandwiches, and other menu items
- Work on the cooking line during busy hours
- Pack and organize takeout and delivery orders
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food-safety procedures
- Wash utensils, equipment, and dishes when needed
- Receive and organize food deliveries and inventory
- Complete opening and closing kitchen duties
Requirements:
- Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Able to work quickly and follow the chef’s instructions
- Reliable, punctual, clean, and organized
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of Middle Eastern, Indian, Pakistani, or Hyderabadi food is a plus
