Join us at Kaishan Compressor USA in Loxley, Alabama where we design and engineer high quality rotary screw air compressors that are driving a more energy efficient future. Our over 100,000 square foot climate-controlled plant is state of the art including designated assembly areas, CNC machining areas, R& D areas and more!
Summary/Objective
Assemble compressor units based on bills of material according to work instructions. This would include using supplied components, following blueprints, diagrams, layouts and/or oral instructions.
Day to Day:
- Assemble parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled.
- Fasten parts together with appropriate fasteners and fittings.
- Use hand, air and/or power tools.
- Perform other job functions as necessary.
- Keep area clean and organized- 6S.
- Assist in the instruction and training of others as requested by the team lead or supervisor.
About You:

- HS Diploma or GED is required
- 2 years’ mechanical assembly experience or specialized training a plus.
- Pipe-fitting experience a plus.
- Must have experience with power and hand tools.
- Experience with micrometers and gauge indicators as well as feeler gauges and hoists are a plus.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
- Basic math skills in order to perform technical specifications and measurements.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- Ability to come to work each day ready and eager to work.
- Job specific skills, techniques, safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job training.
Physical Demands:

- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the test area can be loud.
