Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, assisting with product selection, and driving sales in our retail store. This position works approximately 20 to 25 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations
- Process sales transactions accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale systems
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging displays
- Meet or exceed sales goals by actively promoting products and upselling to customers
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends to effectively communicate with customers
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store targets and maintain a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Experience with tobacco products is a plus!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in cash handling and operating cash registers
- Knowledge of retail math for calculating discounts, percentages, and sales totals
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
