Role Description This full-time, hybrid Registered Dietitian role is based in Puyallup, WA (please note the official posting lists a Seattle address, however this position will be based out of Puyallup). The Registered Dietitian will provide individualized nutritional assessments, develop medical nutrition therapy plans, and deliver evidence-based counseling to patients with a variety of health conditions. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group sessions, documenting care in the electronic health record (EPIC), collaborating with physicians and other clinicians. The role also includes developing and updating patient education materials, participating in multidisciplinary care, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The Registered Dietitian is expected to stay current with nutrition guidelines and best practices, while promoting a supportive and inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Nutritional Counseling, including motivational interviewing and behavior-change support for diverse patient populations.
- Experience providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.
- Experience in outpatient, primary care, or hospital-based nutrition services is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Experience providing, or comfort learning to provide, group education in both in-person and virtual (Zoom) settings.
- Priority consideration will be given to applicants with clinical experience in eating disorders, advanced nutrition support (EN/TPN), and oncology care.
