Role Overview:

We are looking for experienced finance professionals to join our growing team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong project cost accounting background and have demonstrated initiative and strong communication skills.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Input initial project estimate into project accounting system/software
• Generate estimate at completion (EAC) project summary – as sold original estimate, reconciled as sold contract and control estimate
• Maintain EAC project summary for all budget transfers and customer changes throughout duration of the project.
• Reconcile committed and actual cost and gather information needed to generate monthly project status report
• Prepare project status reports for senior management
• Generate and maintain Schedule of Values (SOV) for monthly invoicing to customer and for subcontractor invoicing
• Input all subcontractor invoicing
• Assign cost codes for all major purchased equipment and subcontract change orders to assure proper tracking in EAC project summary
• Assist project manager in all areas necessary to ensure accurate project cost reporting and EAC projection
• Interface with accounting for preparation of contract legal documents (waivers of lien and sworn statement)
• Cost analysis and forecasting as required to support calculation of cost to complete projections

Job Requirements:

• 4-year degree in finance or accounting is preferred, not required
• 5 years in a project cost accounting role in the construction field is required
