Role Overview:
Kais-AIR is seeking a Freight Coordinator to manage the logistics of goods entering and leaving the facility. This role ensures the timely movement of materials, components, and finished modular equipment by scheduling carriers, preparing shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading (BOLs), and keeping inventory records up to date. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced coordinating freight in a fast-paced warehouse or fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound & Outbound Logistics
- Schedule and coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments with carriers and freight providers
- Ensure timely receipt and dispatch of materials, equipment, and modular units
Shipping Documentation
- Prepare and review Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and other shipping documentation
- Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements
Inventory Updates
- Update inventory and ERP systems to reflect the receipt and shipment of goods
- Reconcile discrepancies between shipments and system records
Carrier & Vendor Coordination
- Schedule pickup and delivery windows with carriers and negotiate timing as needed
- Track shipments in transit and communicate updates to internal stakeholders
- Resolve freight claims, delays, or damage issues with carriers
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with applicable DOT and safety regulations, including for oversized or heavy modular equipment shipments
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in freight coordination, logistics, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations
- Experience preparing Bills of Lading and other shipping documentation
- Proficiency with inventory, ERP, or transportation management systems, along with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience shipping oversized or heavy industrial equipment and modular structures
- Familiarity with DOT regulations for freight transport
- Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or construction logistics
