Job Type: Full-Time, 1099 contractor (flexible scheduling including some evening hours)
About Us
KAIROS Counseling is a private outpatient practice dedicated to supporting individuals and families across the lifespan in a compassionate, community-centered setting. Unlike traditional mental health clinics, we foster a warm, supportive environment where clinicians thrive through teamwork, training opportunities, and consistent encouragement from colleagues.
Our practice includes two service lines: Brighter Beginnings (children, teens, and families) and Beacon of Hope (adults 18 ). We are currently seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide medication management and psychiatric care across populations.
Position Details
Schedule:
- Full-time contracted position with flexible scheduling
- Option to work fully virtual or fully in-person or a mix of in-person and virtual at our office in Pocasset, MA.
- Mix of daytime and evening hours
- Some weekend availability appreciated but not required
Caseload:
- Contracted role with support during ramp-up
- Credentialing will begin upon hire
- Caseload will be built once credentialing is completed
- Referrals provided from our existing waitlist
- Opportunity to work with children/teens and/or adults based on experience and interest
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for children, adolescents, and adults
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor client progress and adjust medications as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with therapists and other team members to provide integrated care
- Provide psychoeducation to clients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Graduate-level education required: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialization
- National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses (or license-eligible)
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR), if required
- Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan preferred
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and psychopharmacology skills
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Ability to manage time and caseload independently
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach to care
- Comfort with telehealth platforms
