Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure that all community grounds, tour pathways, breezeways, stairwells, parking lots, amenity areas, and dumpster areas are clean and free of debris.
- Perform regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, picking up trash, and removing litter.
- Maintain the appearance of landscaping, including watering plants and removing weeds.
- Clean and sanitize common areas such as lobbies, hallways, fitness centers, and laundry rooms.
- Vacuum, dust, mop, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Assist in the make-ready process of vacant apartments by removing trash, cleaning appliances and fixtures, and ensuring a move-in ready condition.
- Assist the maintenance team with routine inspections and repairs as directed by the Service Manager.
- This may include painting, cleaning, and completing minor repairs.
- Interact with residents, guests, and prospective tenants in a friendly and professional manner.
- Respond to resident inquiries and requests in a timely and helpful manner.
- At least one year of experience in groundskeeping, porter services, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- Must have a valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.
