SAT Math Tutor – Summer 2026 (Ellicott City, MD)
We are seeking an experienced SAT Math Tutor to join our 2026 Summer SAT Program. This is a short-term opportunity to work with highly motivated students in a small-group setting. Strong performers may be invited to continue with our Fall 2026 Crash Course and Winter/Spring 2027 cohort.
Dates:
- July 6 – August 11, 2026 (6 weeks)
- Only required to work Mondays and Tuesdays (9 hours per week)
- Must be available for the entire program
Responsibilities
- Teach SAT Math classes in both in-person and virtual formats
- Proctor full-length SAT practice tests
- Provide clear explanations of SAT Math concepts and problem-solving strategies
- Foster an engaging, supportive, and academically rigorous classroom environment
Schedule
Mondays
- 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: SAT Practice Test Proctoring (In Person)
- 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM: SAT Practice Test Proctoring (Remote)
Tuesdays
- 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: SAT Math Instruction (In Person)
- 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM: SAT Math Instruction (Remote)
- The in-person and virtual classes cover the same curriculum, requiring only one lesson preparation per week.
Compensation
- SAT Math Instruction:$50/hour
- SAT Practice Test Proctoring:$22/hour
- All curriculum materials and lesson content are provided.
Education Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Mathematics or a related STEM field
- Priority to candidates with a completed bachelor’s degree
- If currently pursuing, preference for graduate students or upper-level undergraduates (juniors/seniors)
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale), with a grade of B or higher in all mathematics courses
Required Qualifications
- SAT Math score 770 or higher (score report required)
- Prior SAT Math tutoring/teaching experience
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with Desmos and digital SAT
- Reliable transportation to in-person sessions in Ellicott City, MD
