Job Description
- Provide clerical support to the nursing department and maintain the nurses’ station.
- Maintain and update resident charts and electronic health records in compliance with regulations.
- Schedule resident appointments, transportation, and follow-up services.
- Answer phones, direct calls, and relay messages to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, and daily census updates.
- Organize physician orders, lab results, and required documentation.
- Facilitate communication between nursing staff, departments, residents, and visitors.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards.
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems and staffing software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare confidentiality standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong professional communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and professional attitude.
