Responsibilities
- Assist parts manager in maintaining inventory on a daily basis
- Place daily parts order
- Assist parts manager in processing daily stock orders
- Ensure that unused "outside purchase parts" are returned to vendors
- Ensure that credits are received for returned parts
- Remove returned parts from inventory after credit is received
- Return cores in a timely manner and follow up for receipt of credit
- Match purchase orders and invoices , approve, and forward to accounting office
- File company copies of parts invoices
- Assist counterpeople with cash , check, and credit card processing when available
- Update parts prices for those parts without supplied tapes
- Assist in preparing for annual parts inventory
- Take messages for counterpeople and parts manager when they are unable to answer the phone
- Keep parts office area clean
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
- Accurate, efficient data entry; attention to detail
- Accounting or Business Degree (will be considered without education if work history is sufficient)
- Automotive experience is a plus, but not necessary
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Pass drug test
- Self-disciplined
- Motivated to go above and beyond the minimum standard
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to stoop, kneel, crawl, reach and handle parts and equipment
- Able to work in an environment that is dusty and where various chemical compounds and paint is used
