Kahler Slater is seeking multiple Architectural Summer Interns. Successful candidates are ready to take the next step in their careers by becoming design forward problem solvers.

Typical Responsibilities of a Summer Architectural Student Intern:
Work is performed in a professional, creative, open office environment with business casual attire. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and will average up to 40 hours per week, depending upon the intern’s availability. The internship may be extended to a part-time position upon the intern’s return to school if the need and circumstances allow.

Typical Responsibilities of a Summer Architectural Student Intern:
- Project design and production support utilizing digital 3D design software
- Design and creation of diagrams and graphics to support projects and pursuits
- Project design support, including creating massing, planning, or finished models
- Design research support, including existing plan measurements and calculations
- Marketing project support / data gathering
- Organization and filing of as-built drawings and project close-out documentation
- Other tasks as assigned
- Completed at minimum 3 years of a BA/BS in Architecture, preference given to those entering the 5th year of a BArch program or entering or enrolled in a MArch program
- Experience in a design firm setting preferred
- Successful team-orientation and collaboration behaviors
- Strong communication skills, spoken, written, and graphic
- Experience using Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Reports to a project or team leader
- Collaborates with project team
- Works under the mentorship and supervision of team members
- Represents the firm in alignment with Kahler Slater’s core values
