What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Aide position at Kahala Nui?
Live Well by Kahala Nui is an Adult Day Care center located in Iwilei. We are looking for an on-call Recreation Aide to join our team.
Recreation Aides assist, encourage, and provide direction to our members with personal needs which enable the member to maintain good personal hygiene, to carry out activities of daily living, to maintain good health, and to participate in the activities of the center.
Schedule will vary, depending on business needs. Live Well by Kahala Nui is open Monday - Fridays, 7:30am - 5:30pm.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Must meet all pre-employment and ongoing state requirements for employment in an adult day care center such as annual tuberculosis clearance, criminal history background clearance, and employment physical clearance.
- Must be available to work varied schedules.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Must be comfortable to lead activities in front of large crowd of Live Well's members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CNA certification or CNA training preferred.
- 1-year previous experience in senior care preferred.
