Kahala Nui, considered Hawaii's premier Senior Living Community, is looking for a Full-Time Line Cook to join our team!
POSITION SUMMARY: As a Line Cook, you will prepare food in required quantities while meeting deadlines and maintaining departmental quality standards. You are also expected to effectively oversee and manage food production in the absence of the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or Lead Cook.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- Minimum of two year’s experience as a cook, preparing full line menu items (Line Cook)
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Abilit to multitask and stay organized in a fast paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills with team.
- Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
- Must be available to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience as a line cook, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or high-volume food service.
- Experience preparing special diets (low-sodium, diabetic, texture-modified, etc.)
