Salary: $23 HourlyWe are looking to hire experienced Direct Support Professional's to work with Individual's experiencing Intellectual Disabilities.Job Duties:Support participation in community activities (libraries, recreation centers, volunteering, classes, etc.Teach and reinforce social skills and appropriate community behaviorAssist with transportation and travel training (Support development of independent living skills (budgeting, shopping, using public services)Encourage relationship-building and community inclusionAssist with identifying employment interests and strengthsHelp develop resumes and complete job applicationsConduct job searches and identify potential employersSupport interview preparation (mock interviews, appropriate attire, communication skills)Advocate with employers on reasonable accommodationsAccompany the individual to job fairs or interviews (if required)Document employer contacts and job search activitiesCoordinate with vocational rehabilitation or employment specialistsComplete service notes dailyRequirements:CPR/First AidUS Work AuthorizationClearance of Background checkHigh School Diploma or EquivalentJob Type: Full-timePay: $23.00 per hourExpected hours: 32 per weekSchedule:Tues, Weds, Thurs, and Fri (9am to 5pm)Experience:healthcare: 1 year (Required)Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Work Location: Elkridge
