What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Dispatcher position at KAG SERVICES INC?
Shift: 8AM -5PM; Monday- Friday
Position Summary
This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.
Essential Functions
- Engage in weekly operation planning with Program Manager
- Collaborate daily with dispatch team on driver loading schedules and resource sharing
- Work with Maintenance Manager on PM compliance for assigned equipment by location
- Receive and consolidate loads from the customer into the dispatch system daily
- Data entry and admin support for daily delivery confirmation, billing and payroll duties
- Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, dispatchers and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Lead and mentor dispatch team
- Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts
- Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
- On-call Duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor Degree preferred
- 5 years of dispatching experience
- Excellent conflict resolution and skills
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
