KAELBERER CONSTRUCTION, Inc. is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator/Groundsman.
- Applicant must be proficient operating Excavator, Payloader and skid steer in a safe manner for sitework, including excavating, backfilling foundations and installation of water and sewer utilities.
- Must be willing to do some groundwork as well- including shoveling, grade rod, installing erosion protection, Utilizing Walk-behind compaction equipment, etc.
- Experience installing water and sewer utility preferred but willing to train.
Responsibilities
Set up and utilize instruments such as laser and transit levels
Install pipe sections and seal joints
Understanding and reading underground plans and specifications
Understanding grade, slope elevations, and operations of grade equipment
Assembling and installing water, sewer, and storm sewer pipe
Set up and utilize trench boxes
Ability to operate equipment in a safe and proficient manner
Management of materials that are delivered to the job sites
Requirements
2 years related experience in the construction industry
2 Years experience operating heavy equipment
Oral and written communication skills with ability to maintain strong documentation
Ability to utilize tools needed to perform the job
