Requirements
Summary of Position Responsibilities:
KAEKO is seeking a Structural Designer. The Structural Designer will be responsible for developing drawings, specifications, and calculations for steel, concrete, and aluminum structures in the semi-conductor/manufacturing sector. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Work with Senior engineer to develop structural plans, details and calculation packages.
· Review and direct revisions to design packages.
· Review as-builds, submittals, and redlines.
· Coordinate with all disciplines involved (Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, etc.), including outside consultants and contractors.
· Review and interpret engineering specifications.
· Manage construction administration tasks, including site visits, produce site observation reports, and developing RFI responses.
· Cultivate relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
· A bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering with a structural focus
· Zero (0) to three (3) years of work experience
· EIT certification not required but is a plus.
· Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and Bluebeam.
· Familiar with NDS, AISC, ASCE 7, ACI and International Building Codes
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Familiar with construction documents.
· High attention to detail.
