Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina area. The Mechanical Engineer (Metal) will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of products such as expansion joints and flexible hoses. The responsibilities include creating machine designs, through detailed drawings, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software, SolidWorks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting research and development (R&D), and implementing solutions to enhance product performance. The role also involves managing engineering projects and ensuring timely delivery in alignment with business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Mechanical Engineering, with expertise in Machine Design
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for product design and development
- Experience in leading and managing projects, including timelines and deliverables
- Aptitude for Research and Development (R&D) to innovate and improve product offerings
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required; advanced degree is a plus
- Experience in process industries such as petrochemical, power generation, or related fields is an advantage
- ERP experience a plus
