Kadant Johnson is seeking a results-driven and hands-on colleague to join our manufacturing team as a CNC Technician – 3rd Shift at our facility in Three Rivers, Michigan.
The CNC Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the CNC equipment to its optimum efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect quality of material entering the department and quality of parts being produced
- Cooperate with other members of the CNC Manufacturing Department to improve quality and boost productivity
- Make sure all setup and programming information is correct and promptly inform Programmers of any corrections
- Perform duties assigned by the CNC Supervisor promptly and efficiently
- Maintains clean, neat work area to minimize accident and injury exposure
- Conform to all part drawing tolerances, document first-piece inspection on print, and maintain cross checks as instructed.
- Keeps supervisor informed regarding operations of the department and any problems that arise
- Safety conscious and identifies areas to be improved upon
- High School Diploma
- Experience operating or programming CNC machine tools preferred but not required

- Technical Skills: Good basic knowledge of the standard practice, methods, materials, precision tools, shop math, trigonometry, CNC programming, personal computer operations, fixtures, and cutting tools used in a computerized manufacturing environment.

- Exercises solid listening and oral communication skills. Interacts effectively with various levels of the organization.
